Emma Stone with her fellow The New Partridge Family castmembers.
There's no doubt about it. Emma Stone has clawed her way to Hollywood's A-list. After making a name for herself in indie comedies such as Superbad and Zombieland, she's now landing coveted roles such as the lead in Oscars favourite The Help, and the new Spiderman flick opposite Andrew Garfield.
Well it turns out that Stone got her start on a reality TV show. In an interview with The Daily Beast, she talks about how she entered — and won — a VH1 reality competition to become the Susan Dey character in The New Partridge Family.
"It was totally, 100 percent a reality show. My mom had never pushed me to audition for anything, but she saw a commercial on TV for it and said, 'You look like Susan Dey a little, and just dyed your hair brown … Why don’t you give this a shot? I have a weird feeling.' I did it and ended up winning. I don’t regret it for a minute".
Here's a clip, where (as Emily Stone) she sings a duet of 'We Belong':
Before her breakout role in Superbad she also played a babysitter in Louis C.K.’s HBO sitcom, Lucky Louie.
