She is from rock star lineage, and this weekend Georgia May Jagger intends to live up to the reputation of her parents, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, by partying up a storm in Sydney.

Jagger, 20, who arrived from London at 7am on Thursday with her musician boyfriend, Josh McLellan, is the youngest daughter of Sir Mick and his former partner the leggy '80s supermodel Hall. In town for promotional duties with Sunglass Hut next week, Jagger also intends to catch up with her extended Australian family while she is in Sydney.

PS reports she tells next week's edition of Harper's Bazaar, of which she graces the cover: "We've got loads of relatives in Sydney. When we go back, we always have a reunion. Once, when I was there, I was interviewed on Sunrise and my cousins actually rang in to say hello. It was hysterical.''

Having carved out her own successful modelling career, Jagger was a star attraction on the catwalk during London Fashion Week in September. She is the sixth of Jagger's seven children. However, the young beauty has not inherited her mother's infamous height. Standing just 174 centimetres, she is something of an oddity on the catwalks of Europe. Not that it has hindered her career, hand-picked by Madonna as the star model for the singer's Material Girl clothes line. Telling Harper's about landing the gig with the pop superstar, she cheekily said: ''Her people rang my people.''
