Presenting: the world's ugliest dog

After years of hairless dogs taking out the gong, (for obvious reasons) this year's top prize for World's Ugliest Dog has gone to a four-year-old beagle, boxer, and basset hound mix named Walle.

Walle was a last-minute entry into the competition, which was held in California. But if you take a good look at him, you'll see he doesn't really look that ugly - weird is more the word. As his owner, Tammie Barbee explains, "People come up to me and say that dog is not right. But I love him."

But the judges begged to differ "This dog looked like he's been photoshopped with pieces from various dogs and maybe a few other animals," explained judge Brian Sobel. Walle's "bizarre waddle of a walk" was also cited as a reason to award him the top honor.

Below a clip of Walle walking around sniffing other dog's butts so you may judge for yourself.
