Above you can view the official trailer for Diana, in which the People's Princess is portrayed by 44-year-old Naomi Watts. According to an article on Vanity Fair, Watts was fitted with a prosthetic nose for the role and spent six weeks with a dialogue coach and had access to the royal's actual wardrobe.
Here's the synopsis:
The film centres on Diana's campaign against land mines and her relationship with surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan, a British-Pakistani heart and lung surgeon who had been described by some as “the love of [Diana's] life.” During the inquest that following her tragic 1997 death, Khan revealed that he and Diana had discussed marriage but, according to the BBC, but he “believed the press intrusion would make his life hell.” They reportedly ended their relationship mere weeks before her death.
It's set to open in UK theatres on September 20. An Australian release date is yet to be confirmed.
