The trailer for Man of Steel was released yesterday and even though we didn't want to be, we were still kind of impressed by it. Produced by Christopher Nolan, it has a distinctly Batman vibe to it, but why stop there? Russell Crowe, who plays Superman's real father, Jor-El, also stars but we have to say that even without him, this movie would still remind us a hell of a lot of Gladiator. Blame it on the ethereal soundtrack full of choir voices and the inner journey of a hero who must make deep personal sacrifices for the greater good. And that kind of reminds us a little of The Passion of the Christ. Then again, that just might be the beard. Watch it and tell us, which movie did it remind you of?
