Otter dislikes watermelon, but can't stop eating it
Yesterday we discovered a series of photos of a giant otter at the Zlin Zoo in the Czech Republic.
The photos are noteworthy because said otter is crying while eating watermelon.
Because otters can't speak, it's hard to confirm what is happening here. Is he enjoying it so much that he has become emotional? Alternatively, does he think it's a wretched tasting treat, but he's pushing through as he's determined not to waste food as there are starving children in Africa? It's so hard to tell.
Prepare to have your heart split clean in two:
The caption that FilmDrunk put with the above photo was pretty great. "Self-loathing otter eats because he hates himself and hates himself because he eats (watermelon)."
Here's a close-up of the raw emotion:
Actually, this is exactly the same stunt we used to pull as a kid when you'd say "Mum I'm hungry" and she'd suggest you eat a piece of fruit as a snack.
"FRUIT IS NOT A SNACK"
Oh god, he's seen us. Run.
