Drunk History is being made into a TV series

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that popular web series Drunk History (from comedy duo Will Ferrell and Adam McKay) is going to be made into a TV series.

The viral success, which has seen the likes of Jack Black, Zooey Deschanel and Jim Carrey reenacting drunken narrations of historical events, will run as a weekly half-hour program on the Comedy Central channel.

"Will and I have always believed booze brings out truth," said McKay. "Sometimes that truth involves hitting on airport bar janitors or eating cheese fries at 4 a.m. But in this case, we hope that truth will shine on our nation’s history."

This news gives us the perfect excuse to revisit some of our old favourites.

The new series will debut over summer in the US.
