Damian Lewis, with his oddly shaped certificate.
Damian Lewis (who plays Nicholas Brody in Homeland) received something called the Freedom of the City of London earlier this week. As you can see from the image here, it's an unusually long and thin certificate which is probably going to be a real pain to hang on the wall. That bad boy will require at least four 3M hooks.
But the real news comes from an interview he did with Digital Spy at the ceremony. During an informal chat with a journo from the website he dropped the bombshell that he thinks the Carrie/Brody romance is dead 'n' done.
"Brody and Carrie are over … I think it’s over," he said.
"I don’t think those two can be together. Can you imagine them being married and bringing up kids?”
He added that the romance is not "a story that has got legs" and "they’d be in the divorce courts very quickly."
We'll have to wait until September to see whether Lewis knows what he's talking about (that's when season three kicks off in the States).
Here's the full video of the actor making the horrible, horrible comments.
