Les Miserables, as you well know, opens here on Boxing Day and Django Unchained opens here on January 24. But in the US they both open on Christmas Day, which makes them direct competitors. There was only one way for Les Mis' Anne Hathaway and Django Unchained's Samuel L. Jackson to settle it: by having a sad off. Which movie is more heart-wrenching?
