Bradley Cooper channels Ben Stiller and maybe a little of Steve Carell’s character from Little Miss Sunshine in The Silver Linings Playbook. Cooper plays Pat Peoples, a man who is trying to put his life back together now that his wife has left him. After moving in with his parents, (Robert De Niro and Jackie Weaver) he meets another good looking but ultimately damaged person – Jennifer Lawrence. Hilarity and bittersweet moments ensue. It’s actually pretty good.
The Silver Linings Playbook opens in the US on November 21.
