Tim Riggins (I guess we can call him by his real name, "Taylor Kitsch"), the dreamy bad boy footballer with the good heart in the show about football (and life!) in small town Texas, Friday Night Lights, has said that the long hoped for Friday Night Lights movie isn't going to happen.

Lainey Gossip fan girled Riggins, OK Kitsch, at the Toronto Film Festival this week and asked him if the movie was on the cards, this was his response,

“No f-cking way. We’re all too old and weathered.”

This is causing us to feel conflicted. On one hand, Texas Forever, too much Tim Riggins, grizzled and old or not (PS he is so not weathered) is never enough. And we want to see the best TV couple - Coach Taylor and Daily Life spirit animal Tami Taylor - reunited once more. But then again, movies made after the end of great TV shows can often spell disaster. The assault on our eyes/brains/will to live that was the two Sex and the City movies, anyone?

Series creator Peter Berg and Connie Britton (Tami Taylor!) have both said that they would sign up to the film, but magnificent as Tami Taylor and her wondrous hair are, we need all of the gang. Kyle Chandler who played Coach Taylor (we still can't decide if we want him to be our husband or our father) is also a no on the film

Also, our views on the show's sweet and dependable guy Landry Clarke (even though he did accidentally murder someone in the show's one misstep, but, carrying on) have been permanently scarred by him playing the psychopathic Todd on Breaking Bad.

Maybe it's best to remember Dillon Texas for all that it gave us for five brilliant seasons - clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
