Rumours have been slowly building on this for a couple of weeks. At first, it seemed too perfect to be true: the newly divorced hypersexual pop nymph and the sleazy, soon-to-be Jim Crosby were seeing each other. But we didn’t get too excited, after all, how many times have you spotted an unlikely couple out together, (Adrian Grenier and Paris Hilton anyone?) only to find out they’re working on some special secret project. Or telling everyone it's a special secret project.
Well, anyway, now we have a photo and the holy grail of pop culture fact-checking on our side: People.com. And, according to them, the couple went out on a dinner date on Wednesday to the Chateau Marmont in LA.
A friend of Perry's, (who just became a friend of ours), told People
“I don't think either of them are trying for anything serious right now. She's not talking like he's 'The One,' " the pal says. "She's comfortable around guys who understand the craziness of that world, which he definitely does."
Yeah, that’s one thing she's probably comfortable with; the other might be that he loves to date hot, famous ladies – and tell everyone all about it. Then again, Katy Perry did flash up photos of her ‘intimate’ wedding during a song at the Grammy awards last year so we can't imagine she'd be heartbroken if John shares graphic details of their relationship with the world. Also: Russell Brand. She was married to him and he still appears to be somewhat privacy averse.
