It all began at InTouch Weekly, a US tabloid rag not normally known for its truthfulness, and quickly spread across the interwebz. 'So what?' we said to ourselves, 'tabloid rags are always trying to impregnate celebrities, what's new?' Well, what's new is that Hilaria responded via twitter. And it wasn't a denial. Retweeting Baldwin's manager she said
"Our response to baby speculation over the past 18 months has remained the same. "When/if Alec and Hilaria have news they want to share, they will share it. Until then, no comment."
Why not simply say no? What's with the 'when/if'? Can we crank up our suspicious minds for a second here and suggest that Hilaria, 28, who has been married to Alec, 54, for just over 6 months, is expecting but that she is probably not yet at the all-important 12 week mark?
Alec, who already has a daughter, Ireland, 18 with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, has often spoken about his desire for another kid.
"I keep telling my future wife that I want her to get rich because I want to retire. She teaches yoga. I want her to become the world's first billionaire yoga teacher," Baldwin told Wonderwall in June just before their NYC nuptials. "I know it is a long shot, but that's the plan I'm sticking with right now. I want to have a baby and stay home and make the pancakes before I send my wife out to work every day to pay the bills."
