Interview: Angelina says she'll quit acting
Angelina Jolie sat down with a Channel 4 news reporter and Britain’s Foreign Secretary William Hague to talk about the Syrian conflict and her humanitarian work but as this is the celebrity component of Daily Life and not the news we thought we'd give you what you would expect here, that is, the highlights of her discussion on her acting.
Jolie told the very serious reporter that
“I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but…”
“I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it’s a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it,” Angelina continued. “But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what’s happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.”
The full video is below - it goes for over 23 minutes so if you do want to hear more about what Angelina Jolie is contributing to the Syrian conflict - a conflict President Obama warned just last night that the 'world [was] watching' because of the rumours that President Bashar al-Assad might be stepping up his attack on rebel forces through the use of chemical weapons - that's right, chemical weapons on his own people which would then warrant a US military attack - then please, pour yourself a cup of tea and check out what la Jolie has to say about the whole shebang!
