If you’re receiving the Goop newsletter you’re probably hip to the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow is now spruiking her own wares on the site. The actress, whose diversification rivals that of even James Franco, is now collaborating with high level designers to produce jeans and a T shirt and sell them on Goop.com for $200 and $90 respectively. Paltrow has received some flak for the prices but appears to know how her brand is perceived - enough to be amused by it.
During an interview on US TV talk show for foodies, The Chew last month, (honestly, where else?) Paltrow joked that if GOOP were to go by any other name, it’d be, "Spoiled-white-rich-girl-dot-com!"
That’s a pretty solid self-burn, right? You want to know what else is solid? The term ‘self-burn’.
