It was only two months ago we reported that actors (and quasi-parental figures to anyone who ever watched Cheers or enjoyed the wacky comedies of the 1980s), Danny DeVito and Rhea Pearlman were separating after more than thirty years of marriage. Naturally, we were devastated, particularly because the news came so soon after that other power couple, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett, decided to go their separate ways.
'If they can't make it - what hope is there for anyone?!' we cried again and again while blowing our noses and watching Romancing the Stone on repeat.
Well, you can put down that bottle of painkillers because Danny told some reporter that they're not done - yet.
When asked how he was adjusting to life as a single man, DeVito said, "It's not something you adjust to.
"Rhea and I are really close. Actually still together, just separate, but together."
Could there be a possible reconciliation?
"We're working on it."
Look, it's not 'mummy and daddy made a huge mistake and we're never going to put you through that again'. But what do we want? DeVito's not about to impart intimate details about his marriage. We mean, look how we pounced on this skerrick of information. So, in conclusion, we think that for now, this is enough.
