Dannielynn poses for a Guess? campaign. Why the label still has the question mark at the end of their brand name is beyond us.
The six-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith is walking in her mother's shoes, taking a starring role in an ad campaign for Guess Kids. Guess? Inc's creative director Paul Marciano says in a statement that Dannielynn Birkhead has the "same playful spirit" that her mother would carry onto a set.
The brand hired Smith in 1992, and she appeared in its sexy denim-wear ads through 1993. She was a relatively unknown model at the time, although earlier in 1992 she was on a Playboy magazine cover. Smith died in 2007.
Dannielynn's campaign also stars Peyton Edmunds, the daughter of music industry veteran Babyface. The ads were shot on a Malibu, California beach, and they'll start appearing in magazines, on billboards and on buses beginning in January.
Danielynn is obviously a photogenic little girl, but guys? Does anyone remember how this ended the first time? It's true that Anna Nicole Smith had a markedly different upbringing to her daughter Dannielynn. For those unfamiliar with the details, Anna Nicole Smith was born to a 16 year-old mother named Virgie who divorced Smith's father he pleaded guilty to the statutory rape of Virgie’s 10-year-old sister.
But still, this 6 year old girl has already been through the death of a parent and the instability of the acrimonious custody battle between s biological father, Larry Birkhead and Smith's lawyer and alleged drugher dealer, Howard K Stern - does she really need to begin a modelling career before she's even reached puberty?
Then again, maybe Birkhead needs the money. You may remember that Smith's former husband, J. Howard Marshall, whom Smith married when he was 87, left her over US $1.6 billion. But a court ruled last year in favour of his sons, which means Dannielynn won't see any of it. But surely there is a better way to do raise funds than put your 6 year old daughter through this?
