The best sorts of parties must have one of the following: free drinks, good conversation, pretty people and Alexander Skarsgaard (what?). Oh and colour, loads of colour. For Ginger and Smart, celebrating their ten year anniversary with their spring summer collection Neonature, the colour party principle was taken to a delightful extreme. Held in the beautiful David Jones ballrooom, colours that wouldn't be out of place in a box of highlighters - including lime green, hot pink and tangerine were paired with chic nude tailoring, washed silk, metallics and stiff jacquard. The effect was striking, especially when worn by models with colour spliced mohawks. Highlights included the blue striped jacquard one shoulder frock with salmon belt, lime green jacquard trousers and bold floral and graphic prints. Metallic lurex gave the the collection a luxe aesthetic and the finale, a billowing, liquid silver one-shoulder ground set the tone for an entirely memorable do.
