Outside the Kirrily Johnston show, blogger and former model Candice Lake was her usual stylish self, Canon in one hand and handbag in the other. However this time Lake, who has walked for luxury brands such as Chanel, Fendi and Louis Vuitton, revealed to Fashion Police that she owed part of her look to the rather more democratic forum of eBay.
The London-based Lake is in town this week to capture street-style looks at MBFWA for Fashion Gallery at eBay, the designer category of the website.
As well as documenting street style, Lake has been tasked with wearing a piece from Fashion Gallery each day during the week, which on Monday meant teaming a Celine top and Alexander Wang heels with a leather skirt and leopard-print bag found on eBay.
Lake is also covering this week for Australian and British Vogues, and was recently named by Net-a-Porter as one of the top 10 bloggers to watch this year.
Her recruitment by eBay is aimed at promoting the expansion of Fashion Gallery, which this week adds Australian designer brands Fleur Wood, Lisa Ho and Suboo to its stable of high street and international labels.
