Kanye West is probably fashion's number one fan boy. Despite his 2011 debut at Paris Fashion Week being savaged by the fashion pack, West remains a believer in fashion, and it goes without saying, in himself. And why wouldn't he be?

Now, as West continues to establish himself as a brand, he's called the fashionable people of New York to boycott luxury label Louis Vuitton, reportedly because the head of the French fashion house, Yves Carcelle, wouldn't meet with him when West was in Paris.

In an interview with a New York radio station West asked listeners to not buy from Louis Vuitton until January,

"I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said, 'I don't understand why we need to meet with you.' I said, 'Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me.' Everybody in New York City right now don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realize my power."

This comes after West slammed Fendi for rejecting his leather jogging pants designs. In his now infamous interview for the BBC West said of the leather joggers fiasco,

"[we] brought the leather jogging pants six years ago to Fendi and they said no. How many mother--ckers you done seen with a leather jogging pant?"

Solid comeback, right!

West has tiffed with Hedi Slimane in the past in his quest to truly dominate the farshun world.

In addition to all of this fashion sparring, West has announced he will be parting ways with Nike in favour of a new deal with Adidas. Reportedly because he did not receive royalties on his designs for Nike.
