When it comes to convenience, liquid highlighters are as flattering and easy to wear as it gets, but if you’ve taken a shine to a compact or loose powder foundation, it pays to use a powder-based highlighter as layering a cream or liquid can cause the product underneath to look patchy.

Think before you bin
